CTMH May SOTM Blog Hop & Creative Scrappers' Sketch:)

Hello,
Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring May's SOTM, which is called Pinwheel, a set of 10 stamps. If you have come here from Georgia's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here Helen's Blog.

This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

The May SOTM with all of it's pinwheels reminds me of Spring and fun, so I broke out the Dream Pop paper.  CTMH is running a special in the month of May.  See post below this one if you want to learn how to get this gorgeous paper for only $10.  If you'll look closely, you'll see that the pack comes with some 'resist ink' paper.  I simply took a dauber and inked it up with CTMH's Slate ink.  Next, I rubbed in on the paper and all the cool patterns popped up.  The effect is soooo cool!

For the LO sketch, I used the April Sketch from Creative Scrappers.  I love that site-- so many ideas, so little time!!  What is a girl to do, except Scrapbook:)

CTMH-- Clementine Cards for Mother's Day and Other Occasions

Hi,

I had yesterday off:)  This gave me a few hours to work on cards for my next workshop on April 28th at 12:30.  If you'd like to join me, please sign up under the workshop tab on my blog.

The first card I created was based on a Mojo Monday sketch from 2011.  I mixed the sketch up a bit and like how it came out.  The stamp sets used were:  Perfect Fit-- Mom (C1543) and Frame Flair (D1546).  Both sets have images that can be cut with CTMH's Cricut cartridge.  I also cut out 2 flowers and rolled them up with CTMH's Quilling Tool.  To bling it up, I used some Glitz Glitter Gel and Gemstones.

(I hope my mom likes this card!)

The sentiments on the other two cards were from the Casual Expressions Stamp set (D1525). This set came out in the Fall/Winter catalog. There are many sentiments in this versatile set. All of the paper featured on the cards are from CTMH's Clementine Line. The inks used were: Twilight; Desert Sand, and Gold Rush.

I hope you can join us!  Please sign up under the workshop section of my blog.

Thanks, Maureen!

October Afternoon (OA) -- Make it Merry LO

Hi,

I'm back with a LO that I made at a weekend crop in February.  I fell in love with October Afternoon's (OA) Make it Merry line.  It reminds me of the Christmas cards and decorations that we had as kids-- so cheerful and fun:)

I used this paper line to document Abby's Girl Scout trip to a nursing home in Braintree.  The troop sang Christmas carols to the patients.  They sang in the group room and then went to the rooms of the patients who were not mobile. Both the patients and Girl Scouts had a great time!

Thanks for stopping by, Maureen:)
