Fancy Pants-- Memory Lane Scrapbook Layout

Hi it's Maureen here. I'm still procrastinating decorating for Christmas! So, what to do??? Scrapbook last Thanksgiving. Makes sense to me:)

To document Thanksgiving, I used Fancy Pant's 'Down Memory Lane' paper and ephemera. Love it! I paired with some Mintay Chippies-- of course. I sprayed the Cheers Mintay Chippie with Dina Wakely's blue Marina spray. Love it. Added some stenciling for the blank spot.

Love it, now maybe onto Christmas??

Stick It Down 2 page Sketch-- December

Hi everyone,

I can't believe it's December-- yikes!  I have lots of Christmas shopping to do.  But, first I want to share the Stick It Down 2 page sketch for December.

CTMH has new line of paper called Seas & Greetings.  One side is for a holiday in the tropics and the other is for cold, winter weather.  With this paper and sketch in mind, my first thought was a snow globe!  I don't know about you, but when I see a snow globe, I instantly pick it up and shake it.

Using a Cricut image, I cut out a 10.5 inch snow globe.  Then, I carefully lined the edges with foam tape and filled it with lots of shaker goodies!  Next, I placed acetate on top and then glued down the frame.

Here's a closer look at the shaker.  One tip with shakers is to glue down a few of the sequins and shaker stuff.  This way not all of the shaker bits will fall to the bottom.

I'll be working on a process video to show you how to make this shaker.  Please check back in.

CTMH Interactive Christmas Cards

 Hi, it's Maureen here.  Wow, we are in early November!  This means Christmas card time!

If you've been following me for a while, then you know I don't make interactive cards often.  Scoring and measuring are just not my thing.  Well, CTMH came out with some interactive card dies.  And, now I feel like a pro!

I made a Pull Tab, Slider, and a Coffee Gift Card Holder!  If that was not enough, I dry embossed and then stenciled in some ink!  I am in love.

Stick It Down-- Two Page Sketch, Nov 2022

 Hello,

I'm here to share Stick It Down's two page sketch for November.  I used this sketch to document some Halloween photos.  To make the title, I used CTMH's small Shaker Foam circles and stenciled in a Web using Gray Ink.

This cute paper line is also from CTMH-- Fab-BOO-lous!  Love it.

Stick It Down-- Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Hi, I'm here to share Stick It Down's double page sketch for October!  

When I saw the fall theme of this sketch, I knew exactly what pictures I would scrap.  My daughter and one of her besties went to New Hampshire two years ago to see the foilage.  Here are some pictures of them enjoying their stay at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa.  

I began these pages by splattering Dina Wakely's Guilt Gloss Spray.  I then inked all the edes in CTMH's Toffee ink.  CTMH's Crisp Air paper line worked great.

CTMH Pumpkin Cards

Hi everyone and happy almost Fall!

Summer ends on 9/22, but it sure feels like Fall here.  The temps are cooler and days shorter.  Time to put on a little jacket:)

To celebrate Fall, I created these two cute cards.  I used the Crisp Air Stamp/die set and the Seasonal Haul stamp/die set.  Both stamps are a must have!  The Crisp Air one is only available through 9/30/22.  Fortunately, the Seasonal Haul is available through 7/31/22. And, the Seasonal Haul stamp not only works for Fall, but also Christmas, Spring and Summer!  Love it.

Stick it Down 2 page Layout-- September

 Hi everyone and happy summer!

For this month's sketch, I choose to work with Mintay's Summer Vacation line.  This line can be used for traditional summer vacations or tropical ones. Here, I used it to docment my trip to Eagle Beach Aruba.

Stick It Down-- 2 page LO August 2022

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying this long, hot summer.  It is hot, but come Janaury and February and wish we had these days back!

For the August 2022 Stick It Down 2 page sketch, I used Mintay's new line called Sunset Beach.  If you've ever been to Aruba, then you know all about their beautiful sunsets!  To capture this view, the beaches are loaded with restruants. Here's a LO from Eagle Beach.

To add some interest, I added some Mintay Chippies.  These are chipboard pieces that look like wood.  To color them, simply brush on some ink.  For this LO, I used CTMH's color of the year: MELON.

In order to showcase more pictures, I added a 6x12 flip flap.  Above is the flip flap closed and below it's open.

Stick It Down-- July 2022 Two Page Layout

 Hello,

I will be on the Stick It Down Two Page Layout Team for July-December 2022.  Because I do two page layouts so frequently, I am excited to be on the team!

The sketch for July 2022 is shown below.

When I saw this sketch, I immediately thought of my recent trip to Lake George, NY.  While visiting Saratoga Springs, we took a drive to Lake George.  This was my first time in the Adirondacks and it was beautiful!  

For this sketch, I used Photoplay's Great Outdoors line.  For the title, I used a Cricut image and used text for Lake George.

The summer is long and full of fun.  A great way to keep up with scrapbooking is to participate in sketch challenges.  Join us in this challenge!

Let's Get Sketchy-- July

Happy 4th of July!

I'm here to show you a sketch from 'Let's Get Sketchy'. This is another design team that I am on. Sketches are great and help you jump start your creations.

When I first saw this sketch, I thought no way-- I don't have any pictures with a star theme! But, sketches give you an idea. You can replace the stars with circles, flowers, squares, whatever.

Also, when I'm doing a sketch, I try to push myself further. This month, I wanted to play with my MIntay Kreativa Chalk Ink and coordinating 'Chippies'. I also paired this with Mintay's new 'By the Sea' paper line and die cuts. Of course, I wanted to ink everything in CTMH's Desert Sand and add some Black Shimmer splatter.

To add a second page, I flipped the sketch over. This two page LO has 3 pictures, but I have 4 more pictures to add. No problem-- I used two 4x4 Flip Flaps, not shown.

All and all I'm happy. I pushed myself to use some new products and techniques. While there are some things I would like to change, I'm done. And, best of all I captured my Lighthouse excursion on Cape Cod. All is good!

Let's Get Sketchy-- June Sketch

I used this sketch to create a layout of my brother in-law (bil) and nephew, who are so cool and hip!  It's no wonder that Cocoa Vanilla's No Limit worked perfect for this layout.  The papers, embellishments are both colorful and cool, just like them!

CTMH Bring Back the Pack-- Chantilly

Hi everyone and happy Sunday.

Here in the Boston area it is snowing.  Yesterday it was 65 degrees!  Love this New England weather:)

As you know, CTMH brings back retired paper packs-- 'Bring Back the Pack'.  The Chantilly line was high on my list and CTMH brought it back!  

I actually used this line back in 2013 to document my youngest's first communion.  Flash forward and I'm using the refreshed pack to document her Senior Prom!  

Here's a quick LO that I made:

With Covid, this LO means a lot to Abby and I.  Her Junior Prom was cancelled and her Senior Prom was downsized.  For the Senior Prom, guests were not allowed and the prom was held at her school.  But this did not stop Abby from decking out in her pink, girlie-girl dress!  It was worth it.

Winter Wonderland Scrapbook Kit by Maureen

Hi everyone one!  We got over 24 inches of snow this weekend.  So, this next scrapbook kit called Winter Wonderland is quite appropriate!

The Winter Wonderland paper line was in the November/December seasonal catalog.  Thankfully, the paper is still available. 

I think I say this about every paper line, but I really like these colors-- Wisteria, Sage, Mulberry, Glacier and Harbour.  I also gave it a pop with the color of the year-- Wild Berry.

CTMH New Product Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the CTMH January and February new product blog hop!  If you came here from Brandi R- Crzy4scrapbooking Blog, then you are on the right path.  Should you get lost along the way, please see Melinda's Blog for a list of all participants.

The January and February catalog is full of goodies.  I was drawn to the Sawyer line-- its colors and design.  I plan to make a scrapbook kit with this line.

The inspiration for the first page came from CTMH 'Make It From the Heart' Volume 5, which is part of the main catalog.  

To help the title and stamped sentiment stand out, I used the CTMH 'Perfectly Imperfect Pattern' stamp inked in Flamingo.  I then splattered some Sapphire Shimmer Brush.

The Sawyer line will work for all things girls and friends.

Photoplay North Pole Trading Company

 Hello crafters,

I hope you had a nice holiday!  I can't believe it all over.  All the prep work and decorating.  Thank goodness, we have pictures to remind us of this glorious holiday.

Today I'm here to show you a LO I did using Photoplay's North Pole Trading Company line.  This line has classic colors and design, which go perfect with my daughter's plaid PJs.

To add some dimension and pattern to this LO, I added some wooden elements, inked in a hounds-tooth pattern and splatter some gold ink.  Here is a close-up:

Photoplay Friendship Through the Years

Hi everyone and happy new year!

Today, I'm showcasing a scrapbook kit featuring the Photoplay Friendship Through the Years line.  When I saw this line, I just knew I had to work with it.  After all, many of us crafters get together often at scrapbook and card overnights and events.  We are a tribe that must be honored!

Because this line has a graffiti vibe to it, I could not resist with splattering.  I used Dina Wakley's Gloss Sprays-- Gilt and Marine, along with some CTMH shimmer.
