CTMH-- Typeset Workshop on the Go

Well, I finally got around to scrapbooking my youngest daughter's school pictures.  Next, I have to work on my older daughter.  To do both, I'm using Typeset's 'Workshops On The Go' (WOTG).  WOTG's are awesome.  They really help you get things started and more importantly done!!  For $29.95, you get:

  • Level 2 Paper Pack
  • Coordinating Stamp Set
  • Milepost Shapes-- corrugated shapes
  • Pearl Paint
  • Instructions**
**So, I didn't exactly follow the instructions here.  It's easy to deviate and create your own design because of all the coordinating pieces!

CTMH-- Magnifique Mini Acrylic Album

This paper line inspired me to become a CTMH consultant.  I simply loved all the colors and endless possibilities.  I saved some of this paper to create a mini book for my parents.  2011 marked the year that 4 or their 6 grandchildren received holy sacraments.  It was also the year that my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.  As the year went on and my father got better, I was able to complete this book.  At the end I found myself both thankful and blessed for all that I have.  Maureen

CTMH Mischief Halloween Layout

Hello, my daughter Abby loves Monster High!!  She not only had a Monster High birthday, but also a Monster High Halloween!  Abby is shown here as 'Frankie Frankinstein'.  To complete the look, we even sprayed her hair white.

All of the supplies used were CTMH (except the orange twine).  The paper is the 'Mischief' line and I used the coordinating 'Midnight Felt Shapes'.  The stamped letters:  'Baroque Alphabet' and the other stamps were from last year's SOTM 'Thriller'.

Let me know what you think.  If you love it, I'll show you how to create it:)

CTMH-- Second Batch of Christmas Cards

Hello, I've been busy making Christmas cards! Tomorrow I have my youngest daughter's Girl Scout troup coming over. We are going to make 50 cards for a nursing home.  I'm a little nervous, but my oldest daughter agreed to help:)

Anyway, here is the second set of cards.  I'll be holding a class on these in late November.  See 'Work Shop' tab.

I've included the dimensions for the snow globe.  I used a set of round spellbinders to create this effect.
Thanks, Maureen

MFT-- Pure Innocence-- Sketch MFTWSC43

While I was making this card today I kept singing "over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go!".   My oldest daughter loves to bake.  Besides our family sharing in her goodies, she usually makes a batch or extra loaf for my parents.  Both of my parents have a sweet tooth-- gee I wonder why I do too?!?

Anyway, I dressed up the pumpkin bread to match the card with twine and a stamped tag.  My mother was so impressed! She even thought I purchased the bread from a speciality shop near my house.  I said-- no-- it was Shaelin and I:)

While we all had tea, my parents enjoyed the pumpkin bread.  We were lucky too because my mom baked her "Irish" bread.  She makes 2 kinds-- one traditional soda bread and another simply called bran bread.  I absolutely love her bran bread.  As a kid, this was our staple for lunch in Ireland--- tea and bran bread.  Sounds weird now, but there were no cold cuts or PB&J back then in Ireland.

Lastly, I based this card on this week's MFT sketch.

CTMH- Sympathy card using Dreamin' and Card Chatter

Of all the cards that I've made, this is my first Sympathy one.  Being Catholic, I typically send a Mass card.  However, this person is very special to me.  Dee is the owner of a local scrapbook store (lss), where she has helped my creativity flourish.  She gave me the confidence to believe that I had (some!) artist talent. Dee's ideas, lessons, and tips have truly inspired me.  They helped me venture out here into the consultant world.  For all of that, plus being a good friend, I offer my condolences to Dee and her family as the mourn the loss of Saul, Dee's father.   As you can see, a purchased would never help me express all the things that Dee is to me.

CTMH-- Christmas Cards, First Batch!

Typically I hate to see anything related to Christmas until November.  I rode by one house last night and it was all lite up.  Thankfully, it was decorated for Halloween, not Christmas!  Despite all these feelings, there is one aspect of Christmas that needs to be done well before the commercials start or the lights go up and that is making Christmas cards!!  In an effort to get started, here is my first batch.  There will be many more to come!  Thanks, Maureen

CTMH 2012 6X6 Calendar

A few of my customers asked that we work on a 6X6 calendar.  Some wanted to give them to a teacher and others to keep for themselves.  I'll end up making 2-- one for my office and one for my daughter's 3 grade teacher! As I was making the calendar, I kept asking my family which month looked the best?  Everyone including myself liked May.  The bicycle from the double stamp set (National Stamping Month) is so lovely.  I want to skip by winter and go right to spring!

The cost of the class is $30.  It covers all materials and everything will be pre-cut.  You will walk away with  a charming calendar that is all your own!

CTMH-- You and Me

For National Scrapbook month, CTMH offered a wonderful gift.  Once I saw the colors and stamps, I knew it would go perfectly for Abby's 1st Communion.  I was only able to do one page, so thankfully I have lots of extras left over!

Plus, unlike papers which you can run out of, stamps last for years and can be used in many different ways.  For instance, I used some of the stamps on my 'Typeset' cards.

Last of Florida Trip

Finally finished up scrapping the Florida trip!!  I was able to find the perfect paper for the Art Deco decor of South Beach by using an old DCWV paper pack.  Also spent a day on Lake Worth Drive in West Palm.  This street is very similar to Rodeo Drive.  Basic Grey's Marjolaine's line came in handy here:)

Teresa Collins-- Chic Baby Bella & CTMH Stamps/Accessories

One of the reasons we visited South Beach while in Florida was to go to the Kardashian's DASH store.  My oldest daughter was dying to see the store because many of the show's episodes were filmed there.  Well, we were very disappointed!  The clothes were both tacky and outrageously expensive.  The only thing we could buy was a $5 bottled water with the Kardashian's picture on it!  And, the store was small.  The inside of the store was decorated well, but the outside had no curb appeal.  If you didn't notice the sign, then you'd walk right by.  Although we were disappointed with the overall experience, my oldest daughter would have been upset if we didn't see the store.

To capture all the Kardashian bling, I used Teresa Collins's Chic Baby Bella-- which was perfect. I also had a chandelier sticker from Martha Stewart.  All the inks were from CTMH, along with the stamp set for DASH.  CTMH has new bling buttons and brads that are to die for!  Here is the product info:

  • E1006 Baroque Alphabet-- Alphabet Acrylix Stamps
  • Z1463 Just Bloom Paper Shapes-- Butterflies
  • Z1612 Foundry Pin Clips
  • Z1360 Designer Brads Rhinestones
  • Z1466 Bling Assortment-- large and small buttoms and pins

CTMH-- Typeset Cards

Typeset is a new paper line from the CTMH Fall/Winter catalog.  I can't wait to use this line to document and record the first school days of 2011 for my 2 daughters!  So, in the mean time, I've created these cards for my nephews and customers.  Hope you like them:)

CTMH-- Sophia Cards

So glad the Sophia line was carried in the Fall/Winter catalog!  The colors are beautiful and so versatile. The 'Pear' ink pad and 'Smoothie papers' are a must.

October Afternoon-- Seaside

What can I say... I love paper, lots of paper!!  This is the 'Seaside' line from October Afternoon.  The paper came in handy while scrapbooking a day at Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach.  Also, could not resist creating a card using a Pure Innocence bathing beauty.
