SOTM April Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring April's SOTM, which is "My Sunshine", a set of 8 stamps. If you have come here from Michelle's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants at Helen's Blog.

This month we have approximately 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

For the hop, I made both a card and LO.  For the cards, I remembered that old song "Up, up and away in my beautiful balloon!"  This will make a perfect graduation on retirement card-- off to a new adventure!  Last April, I spent a week in Saint Martin with the sun shining down on us.  Again, this stamp set was perfect.

CTMH-- Easter Cards with Chantilly

Happy Spring!

It's beginning to feel like Spring around here.  The snow has melted off the grass and the tulip stems are working there way out of the ground.  Can't wait:)

CTMH has some cute Easter stamps available.  Below are 3 cards that I made using the 'Hoppy Easter' and 'Easter Wishes' sets.  The new Chantilly paper line just screams SPRING!!

Later tonight, I will list all of the CTMH supplies used. Thanks for stopping by, Maureen:)

CTMH-- La Belle Vie LO-- last one

Hi again,

Back in the early fall, I created this a LO which documented my daughter's gift to 'Locks of Love'.  As you may recall, Abby grew out her hair for two years in order to donate over 10 inches of her straight black hair to 'Locks of Love'.

A few weeks back, I was able to complete the 3rd page.  It's basically the 'Ta Da!!-- take a bow page.  To make this page stand out, I cut out hexagons and inked all the edges in black.

Thanks for stopping by!  Maureen:)

Here's a close up of the 3rd page, along with the original LO created.

Basic Grey-- Out of Print LO and Cameo Silhoutte

Hi, I recently purchased a Cameo Silhouette-- another cutting machine!@#!!  The Cricut is still my favorite, by far:)  I just wanted a tool for cutting cursive fonts, chevrons, and Polaroid boxes.  Watch,  another Cricut cartridge will come out with all of these shapes!

Back to the Silhouette-- I opened the box and thought-- I can use this without reading the instructions!  After all, our husbands say this all the time!  Well, I was wrong!

Thankfully, I found some helpful hits on You Tube.  Below is a LO that I created with Basic Grey's 'Out of Print' line.  The chevrons, poloroid frame and title were cut using the Silhouette.  The little camera stamp is from CTMH.

I'm glad that I used this tool.  Now I just have to open the box and use my Cinch!  Oh well, so many scrapbooking tools, just so little time!

Thanks, Maureen:)

CTMH-- Scholastic LO: Random Stamping

Hello,  I'm back after a short break.  We are in the process of selling and buying a house.  Love the new house!  Can't wait to move in, but hate all this work:(

Anyway, here is a LO that I did using CTMH's Scholastic paper line.  My daughter Abby was lucky to have two former politicians visit her school in 2011:  Senator Scott Brown and Boston's Mayor Ray Flynn.

Page 45 of the Fall/Winter catalog showed a sample of random stamping.  So, I had to give it a try.  See all those red and tan images on the tan paper-- yup that's random stamping!  You can't go wrong because it's so random:)
Abby got a front row seat as the Scott Brown read to her class. (I wish I was there because Scott Brown reminds me of Richard Gere!!)
I cut all the shapes using CTMH's cartridges-- Artise and Art Philosophy. Don't you just love the library card holder!! That one is from Artiste.

Thanks for stopping by, Maureen
