CTMH Christmas in July Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Christmas in July Blog Hop!  If you've come here from Lauren's CTMH Crafting, then you are on the right path.  Should you get lost along the way, then please see Melinda's Blog for a list of all participants.

For my project, I created a 2 page layout.  I used CTMH's 'Make It From the Heart' volume 5 book for the design.  I just love these books-- they are my go to for inspiration.

For the background, I used  Blue 'Speckled Egg' ink oxides, spritzed the ink with water and then swooshed it on the page using a clear little bag.  Next, I splattered some Scarlet Shimmer ink.

I love how this page came out and can't wait to add my pictures!

Picture coming.

Cocoa Vanilla Daydreams

Hi everyone,

I'm here today to showcase the Cocoa Vanilla (CV) Daydream line.  CV is a scrapbook company located in Australia.  Once I saw this line, I just knew I had to have it!

I had senior pictures of my daughter Abby.  Even if her shirt did not match, I would still use this line.  The colors are light and by adding some black elements, it just pops.

Abby did her senior pictures with her best buddies-- her dog (Leo) and her friend Emma.

To complete the LO, I die cut and embossed some feathers and paired it with wooden feathers.  To bring out the black, I used some foam phrases from American Crafts.

I hope this inspires you to get those pictures scrapped!

CTMH New Blog Hop-- July/August

Hello and welcome to the CTMH new product blog hop!  If you came here from Lauren's Blog, then you are on the right path!  This blog hop is one big loop.  Should you get lost along the way, please see Melinda's Blog for a list of all the participants.

The new seasonal catalog is full of great products!  For this hop, I chose to focus on the Isabella line.  I wasn't too sure about this paper, but the blues really make it pop.

My daughter recently went to Charleston South Carolina with her friends.  The buildings in soft pastels were stunning and this paper went with it perfectly.

Here is the first page of her trip LO.  The new CTMH 'Make It From Your Heart' volume 5 featured a weaving technique.  I decided to give it a try.  I love how it came out!  I'm sorry the photo of my daughter is hard to see.  I'll take another photo of this LO when there is better lighting.

To continue with documenting my daughter's trip, I put together the Isabella WYW.  Here is a photo of one of the LOs:

I just purchased the Isabella PML cards and hope to complete this trip for her.

Graduation, Boy, General Scrapbook Kit

Hi everyone,

I haven't been posting lately:(  One of my other passions is gardening.  So, when the weather warms up, I'm outside planting and weeding my garden.  Now, I'm splitting and moving plants!  So much fun.

Anyway, here is a kit that made using the CTMH Mix It Up paper pack.  This line debuted in the May and June mini catalog and is sold out:(  But, have no fear because I made 18 kits!  The kits are pre-cut and ready to assemble!

The first 2 pages were inspired by the CTMH National Scrapbook 1 page layout.  I changed it up a bit and added a second page.  This layout can be used to document a Graduation, Sports, or anything that required motivation.

Here's a closer look at the LO.  I just love the GRIT sentiment.

For the second LO, I was thinking of my daughter's graduation.  The stamped sentiments worked well here.

For both LO's, I used wooden, acrylic and twine mediums.  It adds dimension to the pages.

This kit will be shipping out this weekend.  I have a limited number of kits.  So, please see KITS tab

CTMH July SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  If you've come here from Lauren's Blog, then you are on the right path!  Should you get lost along the way, then please go to Melinda's Blog for a list of all the participants.

The Strong Roots Stamp set contains 11 stamps.

For my project, I was inspired by one of  Jennifer McGuire's YouTube videos and created a 'Tri-angle Gatefold" Card.  It took me a couple of tries, but I got the hang of it!

I decided to do a fancy fold because one of my friends is the process of selling her home.  Once she moves into her new home, I want to give this card and a little gift!

For the card, I stamped the Door image onto a circle die cut and then matted it to a larger circle die cut. For the card base, I cut a 4.25 x 8.50 base and scored it in a half.  Next I cut two 3.5 squares and scored them diagonally.

I choose to use the CTMH "Lovely" paper line.
Below is how the card looks when it is closed.

Once you remove the Belly Band, the card opens up.

I used the 'Congratulations on your" sentiment

Once the card is completely open, it says 'Home'.

Overall, I'm happy with this card.  I tend to shy away from fancy folds and I'm glad that I gave it a try.

The 'Strong Roots' stamp of the month can be yours for only $5 if you purchase $50 in products.  Or, you can earn it for free if you become a CTMH VIP.  If you do not have a CTMH consultant, then please visit my store, Click here or email me.
