CTMH NEW Cricut cartridge: Artistry

Hello,  sorry if you received a blank post from me last week.  I was supposed to participate in a Artistry CTMH Cricut blog hop.  I was travelling to Germany when the blog hop went live and things didn't go as planned-- I arrived in Germany, but my post got lost in cyber space:(  My apologies.

Below the artwork that I created for the hop.  Like Artbooking, Artistry contains many overlays, such as the hexagon one I chose.  To give the overlay some color, I inked in with Slate and then backed it in the new Zoe paper line.  Since the overlay made such a statement, I then taped it onto an 11x11 piece of white cardstock and then finally a piece of 12x12 Sorbet cardstock.

The caption 'Right Here', word bubbles, camera, and shape for Best Friend sentiment were also cut using CTMH's Artistry.

Here is a close up.   Love all the details and the Artistry cartridge makes it so easy!

The Artistry Collection comes with 3 size D-sized stamps, 12X12 Enchantment colored cardstock pack, and over 700 images-- shapes, layers, banners, borders, backgrounds and fonts.

The retail price is $99 and $79 if purchasing the digital version only.

If you purchase the cartridge, then this will also qualify you to obtain the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) for only $5.  Here is a look at August's SOTM.  Notice that the 3 frames can be cut with the Artistry cartridge.

Well, sorry I missed the hop.  If you'd like to hop on now and see other creations using this new cartridge, then please click HERE.  This cartridge can be used for card-making, scrapbooking and other paper crafts.

Thanks, Maureen

CTMH Wanderful WOTG-- 2nd LO

Hello, I'm back with a second LO from CTMH's soon to be retired Wanderful WOTG.  I just love subway themed paper.  To me it means fast pace... travel.

I used this paper line to showcase pictures from my trip to Lego Land in San Diego.  From a distance, the buildings look like NYC and San Fran.  Up close, they are legos!!  I can't say it enough, unbelievable.

For the first page, I cut out a circle and wrapped arrow washi tape around it.  Then I stamped the scooter and stacked some suitcases (stickers) on it.

For the page design, I used basic elements from CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy-- postage stamp and circle.  I then used Artbooking for the circle overlays.

Love this look and it was super easy.
Here is the 2nd page.  I used a flip flap in the left hand corner.  Can never have enough pictures!

I hope I've inspired you to either get out and travel or to scrapbook a recent trip!  If this paper line is calling you, please let me know.  Wanderful will soon be retiring:(

Thanks, Maureen

SOTM Blog Hop-- August

Welcome to the August SOTM blog hop!  If you have come here from Lauren's Blog , you are on the right path!  This month we have close to 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go.....

For the hop, we are featuring August's SOTM, which is Framed, a set of 12 stamps.  This set is awesome...it covers so many occasions!!

Because I needed a Birthday card and a Get Well card, I decided to make both.  For the Birthday card, I used CTMH's new Cricut cartridge-- Artistry (OMG!).  I cut out a bunch of triangles and a fox.  It came out super cute:)

For the Get Well card I used the Artistry cartridge again to cut the frame, hexagons, and cute little hedge hog.

Here's a close look at the B-day card.  Isn't the fox adorable!
I'm sure this little Hedge Hog and Zoe paper line will brighten some-one's day!
Here is a quick peek of some of the Artistry images available.

I hope you liked these 2 cards.  If you don't have a consultant and would like to order the product displayed, then please visit my Store.

CTMH Wanderful WOTG

Hi, I'm back with another LO using a Workshop on the Go from CTMH.  I just love these workshops because they give you everything you need to create 2- two page LOs and more.  This workshop comes with a full paper pack, a size D stamp, Washi tape, embellishments, extra cardstock and instructions.

The Wanderful line is retiring at the end of August.  I'm travelling to Germany soon, so I made sure to pick up a couple of extra packs of paper and some 'Picture My Life' (project life) cards.  You can never do too much travelling!

Okay, so the WOTG... I had some pictures from Lego Land in CA.  You got it the pictures below are not the Capitol or San Francisco Bridge-- they are Legos!  Unbelievable!!

Don't you also like the blue circle overlay-- cut this from CTMH's Artbooking cartridge.

Also used CTMH's cartridges to cut the frames and camera.

Here is a look at the second page.

Because I had so many pictures, I used 2 flip flaps

Thanks for taking a look today.  If you want to grab this paper pack while its still available, please let me know.
Thanks, Maureen:)

CTMH Confetti Workshop on the Go

Hello, the summer is flying by!  And, my blog has been suffering:(  I'm still finding time to craft though.  Just not time to take pictures and post.  Well, I took a bunch of pictures of my work, so I'm back in business!

The layout below is from CTMH's Confetti line.  This line will be retiring at the end of August.  Please be sure to order it before it becomes unavailable.

For the LO, I used the Workshop of the Go (WOTG) kit and changed things up.  Below is the first page:

I documented and scrapped my daughter's 11th b-day.  The design of the LO was based on a sketch I found on pinterest, modified of course.

The Confetti WOTG kit comes with the sentiment "Oh Happy Day".  I liked the stamp's versility.

Here is a close-up of the first page.  Abby has such a great smile!

For the second page I continued with the design and added to flip flaps because you can never have enough pictures!

By using flip/flaps, I was able show all the pictures of my dog licking the frosting off of party-goer's face!  I know it sounds gross!

Here's the complete 2 page LO:
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at this LO. If you are inspired and want to order your Confetti paper line before it becomes unavailable, then please let me know. Maureen:)

More Authentique Anchored Layouts

Happy 4th of July!!

As promised I'm back with my 3 remaining Anchored LO's.  These LOs features our sailing excursion onboard the Argia Schooner.  We sailed out of Mystic CT.

If you happen to be one of my 2,000+ Pinterest followers then you know I love all things lighthouses!!  Their beauty and isolation fascinate me.  I would like to visit every lighthouse on the eastern seaboard.  I know, I know...I have a long way to go!!   But, was able to see two light-houses during this trip:)  2 down, 10,000 to go:)

Okay this is sort of a plain jane page.

I liked the paper so much that I had it serve as the focal point.  After trimming 1 inch from the height and width, I backed it on CTMH's Ruby paper.  I then simply put blue patterned paper across the middle, matted the pictures, and glued down the title.

I got the title at a local scrapbooking store in CT.

Above is a pic of the complete 2-page LO.  This LO was quick and fast.  You're probably like-- I know, it stinks.   But as I said yesterday, I felt good scrapbooking and I felt accomplished for documenting this trip.  Not everything has to be a work of art.

Okay, now onto the lighthouses.  Below is a LO of the 2 we saw-- scratch these 2 off the bucket list!!  I found the design for this LO on Pinterest.

Love this postage stamp red backing on the stone lighthouse-- CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to the rescue!

Again, I hope this inspires you to get cracking on some scrapping! Don't wait for the perfect 3-day crop. Life happens everyday, so scrap as much as you want/can. Thanks, Maureen

Authentique 'Anchored' Layouts

Hi, it's almost the 4th of July!!  I had today off and was able to take photos of some LOs that I recently created.

Before I share them I just wanted to ask-- do you often feel like there is no time to scrap or card-make?  I often find myself waiting for that big weekend crop when I can get 40 pages done!  The problem is that absolutely love to scrapbook.  So why not do it more and feel good more??

With this in mind, I carved out time over the last 2 weeks and created 5 pages!!   I was able to scrapbook my trip to Connecticut last summer.  Some of the pages are nice and 'blog-worthy' and others not so much.  But I don't care.  The point is I made time for myself and felt good!  Wow!

Here is 2 of the pages that I created.  I chose to work with Authentique's Anchored paper line.  The paper line debuted last year and living on the Boston seashore it was a must have for me.

This page captures our night at Goodspeed Theater where we saw Fiddler on the Roof.

BTW, we had no idea we were staying feet away from an award winning theater!
Here's a close-up.  I spritzed some red ink onto the page to jazz it up.

The Connecticut title was purchased at a local scrap store in CT.
The second day of our trip we took a little boat tour of the Thistle Islands-- looks like I have to add a "S" to the title!!

The Thistle Islands were spectacular.  Houses are built on large rocks.

I have no idea who is on that paddle board, but the dog is so stinking cute!

I hope these LOs inspire you to dust off those supplies and carve out some time for yourself.

If you are local, we also offer monthly 8-hour crops.

Thanks for stopping by and tune in tomorrow for 3 more LOs.

SOTM Blog Hop-- July

Hi, welcome to the Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop!  If you've come here from Pam's Blog, then you are on the right track.  Should you get lost, please click HERE.

The July SOTM, "Life is Wonderful", contains 8 stamps.  I just loved the saying "Always Remember Something Wonderful".  We can often get bogged down with negativity.  But if you step back and remember something wonderful, a bad day doesn't seem that bad after all.   The wonderful things bring us through.

Well this picture symbolizes something wonderful to me.  It represents my daughter  coming of age.  In the picture she is 11 3/4 years.  In a short couple of months, she will blossom into a young woman and enter junior high.  So much change, so soon.  It's not all easy, but somewhere in there Life is Wonderful!

I hope this layout inspired you.  Next up is Michelle's Blog, which you can't miss!  Please be sure to visit all of the consultants blogs.  You'll find lots of inspiration!

If you don't have a consultant and would like to order this stamp at a discounted price, please contact me.

Thanks for stopping by, Maureen:)
