Valentine's Pictures not from Pinterest

Hi, yesterday my husband and I went to an artist mill in Norwood MA.  The old mill/warehouse was converted into a space filled with artwork, jewelry, antiques, shabby chic clothing/furniture, and lots of other nice finds.  I was quite surprised at all it had to offer.

Here are some pictures of some Valentine's Day inspired scenes.  I'll be back with other pics as well.  So stay tuned:)

Retro Valentine's Day ensemble from "Diggin Daisy's".  Cost $8.  Priceless, so I had to have it.
Chanel Shabby Rose.  Can I live here!!  Love all her stuff.
From the Vintage Peacock.  Loved this store too-- lot's of shabby chic and retro colors.

Had a wonderful day! If you have a day off, then consider spending it at the Winsmith Mill in Norwood MA. You may only spend $8 like me, but you will leave with lots of great pictures and ideas!

Thanks, Maureen

CTMH-- Woodland Romance Card

Hello, back again with another card from the new CTMH mini catalog.  As promised, this card features shapes cut from a CTMH cricut cartridge, Artistry.  I cut out the heart  shape and deer.  I can now add deer to my list of odd obsessions!  I like deer on cards and scrapbook projects.  To mean it says rustic, chic charm-- so lovely!

Below is a closer look at the stamp set. The shapes outlined in red can be cut with one of CTMH's Cricut cartridges, Artistry, in this case.

I hope you enjoyed this card!

CTMH-- Springtime Wishes Card

Happy Sunday and I hope you had a nice holiday!  I made the card below using a stamp from CTMH's new Seasonal catalog which debuted on January 1st.  The cover of the mini catalog inspired me.

In addition new stamps, CTMH also introduced 3 die sets-- OMG!  The thin dies go with the stamp sets, giving you another cutting option.  Don't worry, CTMH will continue to design stamps for it's 5 Cricut cartridges.  I'll be showcasing a card tomorrow with 2 Cricut shapes.

The paper line is called Charlotte.

Just like any die, run the paper through a die-cutter machine and then stamp on it.  No scissors needed here!

Here's a close-up of the stamp set.  Each shape outlined in blue comes with a corresponding die.

As the card says, "Thank You" for stopping by!  Come back tomorrow for another card featuring this lovely paper pack, Charlotte.  And, if you would like a copy of the new catalog, please let me know.

CTMH-- Sangria WOTG

Hello, I'm back again with the second layout (LO) from the Sangria WOTG.  This LO is one that CTMH designed, modified slightly.

My oldest daughter attends her homecoming dance each fall.  The Sangria line is perfect for those fall pictures.  I just renamed the title to 'Family of friends' vs. 'Family'.  These friends are like family, fellow sisters to Shaelin.

Because I'm also fascinated with chevrons, I put an extra strip of paper in the design, along with a journaling box.
Again, added the chevron strip.  Stamped a couple of extra sentiments.

Here is the first LO that I created based (loosely) on sketch.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Sangria paper line and WOTG. I will be teaching these LOs at our overnight crop in January.  To sign up, please see kit section blog.

SOTM Blog Hop-- December

Hello, welcome to the December CTMH SOTM blog hop!  If you've come here from Jeanie's blog, then you are on the right path.  The hop is one big circle and should you get lost along the way, please click HERE.

The December SOTM, Candlelight Garden, is a set of 10 stamps.  I'm loving CTMH's new water-color paints.  So, I embossed the vase and flower images in gold and then simply painted in the colors.  The embossing made the painting very easy, it kept me in the lines!

To give the card some contrast, I then dry embossed the purple cardstock with the CTMH Damask embossing folder.

For the second item, I choose to make a little tag.  Often times, I give out little candles to helpers or friends.  I thought the sentiment "Friend, you're a light in my life" worked perfectly!

To see the candle image, I stamped this first in Bamboo ink.  Next, I stamped the sentiment in Gypsy ink and then the flame in Canary.
Components of candle gift.

Please remember that this stamp is only available from December 1st through December 31st.  If you don't have a consultant and would like to get this stamp at a discounted price, then please click HERE

Next up on the hop is Jacquelin-- here is the link:  Blog link. Please be sure to visit all of the consultants' blogs.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Maureen
