CTMH Holiday Expression Blog Hop

When CTMH unveiled the Holiday Expression book at the Convention, I lost it!  I loved all 4 paper lines.  I chose to work with "Swan Lake" first.  It definitely has a Fall look, but as you will see in my post tomorrow, it can be used for other occasions. 

After dropping off my oldest daughter off to college in Vermont, my youngest and I stumbled upon this beautiful farm.  The farm was covered in picture perfect sunflowers.  They also had tractor and an old red truck-- both of which made perfect pictures!

Here is page 1,  I cut out the title, wreath and sunflowers using the new CTMH Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.  This is another must have cartridge:)

Jeepers Creepers Halloween Cards

Happy September!

We just launched our new Holiday catalog on September 1st and it is loaded with goodies!  To get ready for the holidays, here are some Halloween cards that I created from the Jeepers Creepers paper line.

For the first card, I used "Monstrous Halloween" stamp and coordinated thin cuts.  You can get both the stamp set and thin die cuts for only $26.95!  Or you can buy the stamps only for $13.95.  Great deal either way.

For the second card, I used the new "Sugar Skull" stamp set. Most of these images can be cut on the Cricut using our new Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.

I colored in the skull using my Copics markers.

The last card was created using the "Silly Spider Web" stamp set.  The sentiment was cut from the Sugar Skull stamp set.

 

The "Silly Spider Web" set is on page 12 of the Holiday Expressions catalog.

With summer fading fast:(,  I decided it was time to make some fall cards.  And, what symbolizes fall more than pumpkins! 

 

For my pumpkin, I stamped it in "Goldrush" and inked the green in "Fern".  To pull out the blacks, I stamped the sentiment in Black.

I used CTMH's new Swan Lake paper pack for this card.  The line has many fall tones.  I will be working with this paper line in the weeks to come.

CTMH New Product Blog Hop

For my first project, I worked with the "Whimsy" Fundamental Line.  Whimsy's light colors are perfect for scrapbooking summer and tropical vacation getaways.

I paired the paper with the "Baby Girl Compliments" and awesome coordinating ribbon.  You'll see that the Baby Girl compliments work well with my pictures of my then 12 year old daughter in Martha's Vineyard-- she's certainly no baby!  The compliments work for many occasions, so don't be fooled by the name.

CTMH Florence LOs

Hello,

I had to today off, so I figured I'd get back to blogging!

Here is the second LO that I did for my trip to Heidelberg Germany.  I was inspired by a LO that a former consultant, Dana Kessler, created.  Dana is a CTMH rock star-- her work is unbelievable. Julie Carriere and myself stalked,  I mean met Dana at the CTMH convention this past June in Orlando!  Of all the questions we asked Dana, we didn't ask-- where does your inspiration come from?  Dana if you are reading- where does your inspiration come from?

Here is the LO inspired by one of Dana's project.  I just love the shield.

These pictures were taken in Heidelberg Square, the Old square.  Last August, Europe was experiencing a heat wave.  Stan and I had a drink to cool down.

The August stamp, Purr-fect, is super cute!  You'll have fun decorating the cat-- whether it be for Halloween, a birthday or some other special event.  With my daughter taking off to college soon, I thought this would make a cute Halloween card:)

Yesterday I was in the mood to fuzzy cut.  So, I took out some cardstock, stamped and cut away! 

I used the new Fundamental X line, which is great for Fall.

The star was cut out using the new CTMH star cut die set.

CTMH Florence Layout

Hello,

I hope you are enjoying the summer.  I can't believe it's August tomorrow.  At my grocery store they have started to advertise Halloween candy!!!  I can take the "Back To School" commercials, but Halloween??

Anyway, if you haven't taken a look at CTMH's Florence line, then here is your chance.  The eclectic line debuted in the Seasonal Expressions catalog, which will be retiring on August 31st. 

The colors in Florence are beautiful-- oranges, yellows and blues.  I chose to use this line to showcase my trip to Heidelberg Germany.  We travelled up to the old fort in Heidelberg and looked down upon the city, full of orange brick roof tops.  The scenery was absolutely stunning.

 

 Here is a closer look at the first page. 

I inked the edges with desert sand.

To fill up the blank space, I stamped a geometrical shape in the corner and then stamped a travel sentiment.

The second page captures more beautiful images of Heidelberg's roof tops and river.

What a wonderful trip!

Card Class-- 6/18/16

Hello,

I'm co-hosting a 12-hour crop this Saturday.  Below are some cute cards that I'll be teaching a class on.  If you live in there area or would like to order a pre-stamped kit, please go to Kit tab on top of blog.  We'll be making 5 cards for only $15. 

I just love the Tickled Pink stamp set with the Flamingos.  My friends laugh when I call flamingos "Pelicans", but hey I know what I mean!. This stamp set comes with coordinating dies for only $13.95. 

The pineapple stamp set called "One in a Melon" does not come with dies, but can be cut using the Artistry Cricut cartridge. 

Both CTMH's Cricut cartridges and dies make stamping and scrapbooking so much fun and easy!

CTMH June SOTM Blog Hop

The June SOTM is called "The Long Way Home".  It contains 15 stamps and is super cute!  One of the shapes is just like a Volks-Wagon van, which my daughters and I simply adore.  In fact, my daughters love VW vans so much that I don't even have to say "smile"! 

To me these vans symbolize peace, freedom and fun.  With my daughter going to the University of Vermont this Fall, we'll be visiting the Ben & Jerry's flagship store complete with a huge VW bus!  I will surely use this stamp set!

Anyway onto the art...

Here is a LO of my daughters (voluntarily) posing at a painted VW mural in Miami.  Check out their smiles-- so worth it!

To give the LO more dimension, I stamped a background image on the left-hand corner in Desert Sand.  Next, I stamped one the stamp set's sentiments on top and then put some festive, colored sequins.





To capture the entire event, I created a second page. I told you I liked VW's-- so there's a pic of me:)
